New to me Model 29-3

I just picked this up today at a gun show for $675. Had a 4" with the ILS but traded it for a Kimber 1911 polymer pro carry then wished I had the 629 back. So I took the Kimber to the show and traded it for the 29-3. Much better, it's the 6", blue. I'm now a happy camper again.

The serial number is ACS35XX. Can anyone tell me date of manufacture and any other details on this gun.

ACS should be 1983. Looks like it's in very nice condition. It's always nice when you get something you want. The grips have nice grain in them. Nice M29.

Just got this not to long ago. I keep coming back to the 629s. I have owned a few and this one is a 629-3 in new condition.

Nice Piece

I like the 6XX series of S&W's alot. I've had both 686's and 629's and like a dumb *** I either sold them or traded them away for something I again traded for something on an on.... Wish I still had every handgun I every had.
I'm not getting rid of this one for anything; it's sort of my grail gun, I guess. You never know what will happen.
