New to the Forum

Hello to all. I'm new on the forum and this is my first post. One of my favorite pastimes is collecting the older S&W revolvers. My collection is modest but includes Models 31-1, 10-5, 15-4 and 28. Attached is my newest acquisition; a 1962-vintage Model 28 Higway Patrolman in .357 Magnum. I also own some more modern revolvers including a 1984-vintage Model 24, a Model 65-5 in .357 and a Model 638 Airweight .38 Special. I look forward to browsing in this forum and others for information and expertise. Thanks for looking.

BTW: if you don't have a copy already, you will want to get a copy of the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 4th Ed." (Supica and Nahas). It's the Forum's Bible when it comes to info on S&W's products, and is more comprehensive than you can imagine. Enjoy!

I thought somebody would catch that. Admittedly the grips are not original. When I bought the revolver used, it had the ugliest Pachmayr grip I have ever seen. I replaced it with Altamont's classic panels for N-frame revolver.
