Hello to all. I'm new on the forum and this is my first post. One of my favorite pastimes is collecting the older S&W revolvers. My collection is modest but includes Models 31-1, 10-5, 15-4 and 28. Attached is my newest acquisition; a 1962-vintage Model 28 Higway Patrolman in .357 Magnum. I also own some more modern revolvers including a 1984-vintage Model 24, a Model 65-5 in .357 and a Model 638 Airweight .38 Special. I look forward to browsing in this forum and others for information and expertise. Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable and friendly folks here.
These revolvers are addictive along with all the accessories and pictures are always a good thing

Welcome to the Forum, lots to learn here and thanks for sharing the picture of your 28. As you spend time here, hope you will, you may want to consider joining the SWCA (S&W Collectors Association). Anyway, welcome aboard and hope to see more posts from you soon.

Welcome! Seems like you are starting your collection out nicely! The Smith and Wesson Collectors Association along with this forum are great resources.

Welcome from sunny Florida! Lots of Model 28 (Highway Patrolman) fans here on the Forum, as well as all the other S&W calibers and handguns! You'll have a good time browsing and asking questions, and getting some expert opinions and advice. BTW: if you don't have a copy already, you will want to get a copy of the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 4th Ed." (Supica and Nahas). It's the Forum's Bible when it comes to info on S&W's products, and is more comprehensive than you can imagine. Enjoy!

What a good looking old Smith revolver and a great 1st post!!! Sounds like you have a quality collection. Welcome from NW Louisiana.

I have a copy of the 3rd addition, but your post reminds me it's time to acquire the 4th. Thanks.

Welcome.
That is a fine looking 28.

I'm a grip junkie so one thing about it does make me cringe.

Be careful here..

That S&W rabbit hole is deep.

I thought somebody would catch that. Admittedly the grips are not original. When I bought the revolver used, it had the ugliest Pachmayr grip I have ever seen. I replaced it with Altamont's classic panels for N-frame revolver.
