Just picked up a new Victory, stock trigger and no threads, and took it out for a test drive today. Having read a few reviews, I took it down first and lubed the bolt pretty good, a light coat of grease and a few drops of oil. It functioned fine for about 100 rounds or so when I got a failure to eject. Looking it over I noticed the barrel screw was loose, so tightened it up and resumed firing another 200 rounds. In 300, that was my only failure to fire. The sights were right on out of the box for plinking at clays at about 50-60 yards. Just wanted to get it wrung out and functioning this trip. I'll shoot some 25 yard groups next trip. So far I like the feel, fit and finish better than the 22A, the Buckmark, the Ruger Mk III, so I'm ordering 4 more mags.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Victory. I suggest placing a no.61 O-ring on the barrel screw which will keep it tight. Well under a dollar to buy which is a nice price as well.

I use Vibra Tite VC3 on the takedown screw as well as the top picatinny rail for mounting a Vortex Venom reflex sight. Neither have worked loose. Damn fine gun for the $.

Congrats on your purchase!! I love mine.

He's correct, get the O ring it'll really reduce that screw coming loose. I use that and the Vibra Tite.

Enjoy!

Just try the O-ring by itself with no Vibra-tite added. It will do the job all alone and no mess to ever clean off later as well.

Thanks for the tips! Heading out to find an O-ring tomorrow and putting another 500rds through it on Saturday to test it out.
