I have a new Performance Center M&P9 coming and I want to top it with the relatively new Vortex Venom. Does anyone know if it will fit on one of the mounting plates that comes with the pistol?

My wish to go with the Vortex is their awesome VIP warranty. No receipt needed and it is fully transferrable, break it and send it in to them and they will fix it....

Better be sure you can see the sights over it . The one jerry miculek used does not allow you to use the sights. 3moa dots nice for hunting be smaller than wanted for speed shooting . Most shooters use 6 to 12moa dots for uspsa . That's only 1.5" to 3" dot at 25 yards

Thanks hardluk, that is good input. I will have to take that into consoderation. The new vortex red dots are available online for purchase. Does anyone have an m&p9 PC and have inpit on optic choices?

Vortex Viper

The Vortex venom will not co-witness with the Core. The Vortex Viper will co-witness and it is a 6.0 MOA. According to Vortex.

Like at what I have posted (research I have done):

http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-...-vortex-viper-red-dot-leupold-deltapoint.html

As for the mounting plate Type B which is the one used for Burris FastFire III and Leupold Deltapoint and use the Type B screws from S&W. The Vortex website QA section is full of information.

Hope this helps.
