I know I'm not the only fan of author Wilbur Smith here, and this interview at his home near Cape Town may inspire those of us who aspire to write, ourselves.
I've read his material from the first, 1965. Whether it's about ancient Egypt, the Boer War, or modern adventure, he spins a worthy tale.
I think you'll like the lady interviewer. I've seen the outside of his home in other interviews and understand why that beautiful house and its gorgeous grounds appeals to him.
Listen as he explains that he had decided to quit writing after several publishers rejected his first mss., but one editor encouraged him and he's long since been a bestselling author, with huge international sales.
Enjoy! Oh: look for the Queen in those photos from his career.
