Hi Rich

Would love an update regarding the 24c trigger system, I got in contact with AW, but they only have CMC drop ins in stock and he is waiting on the company to sort out export licence.
Of all the trigger systems available I really like the idea behind the 24c and my only concern is with light strikes, which the heavier hammer strike should sort out....so I would love to hear your opinion on your new trigger setup now you have had some quality trigger time.

Hey GhostMutt, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you.
I've put about 500+ rounds through the M&P since I installed the Hiperfire trigger and in a word, brilliant.
Although I have been having some problems with my latest batch of CCI AR Tactical ammo, this is not down to the trigger. I tried it through another gun (K22 X-Trim) and had the same problems - neither gun had problems with my last batch. When I switched to CCI Mini Mags, both no longer had problems. By the way, the first strike on the AR Tactical rounds were good hard strikes and all rounds fired on the second attempt.
As I mentioned, I have the lightest set of springs fitted to the trigger but this only reduces the trigger pull, not the hammer. I would say that the hammer strike has more force behind it than the stock trigger did.
So all I can say is that the Hiperfire is a great trigger that I would happily recommend to anyone that's thinking of fitting an aftermarket unit to their 15-22 or AR15.
Sorry to hear AW doesn't have any in stock, he's a great guy to deal with and I'm sure he'll help you out as soon as he can.

I just received and installed the Hipertouch 24c into my 15-22

Install took 10 minutes (no experience here.. someone with experience it would be much faster)

The trigger feels amazing compared to the stock trigger.. can't wait to shoot it tomorrow!

question:
the pivot pins that come with the 24c.. they are not flush with the lower receiver when installed (like the original pins were).. mine are recessed on both sides.. like the pins are too short. seems if they are nudged to either side they will come out..

for the folks with 24c and 15-22.. are yours like that as well? cause for concern?

I installed the natural color springs..

Blue springs (.026" wire) 3.8# trigger pull
Yellow springs (.030" wire) 3.4# trigger pull
Natural springs (.035" wire) 2.2# trigger pull

man... not a lot of love for my new 15-22 yet.. in fact, i named it jam-o-matic today at the range.. i've got 10 mags through it, various ammo, and have not been through one mag without a jam yet. today was especially bad.

i took photos of the jams.. not sure how to upload.. but it appears a round fires, then starts to get ejected but doesn't quite make it out of the gun before the next round is chambered.. so a live round does get chambered about 3/4 of the way, and the spent round is sticking halfway out of the gun.

i did read just now also about not holding the mag or leaning anything on it while firing.. perhaps i was holding it like that.. will try again tomorrow.

it was also not holding open on the last round for most of the time (I just read about clipping the spring so will try that)

seems a new firearm these issues shouldn't be happening.. ugh

Also might want to verify your trigger & hammer pins aren't walking. You didn't specify which ammo you used but I suggest shooting some CCI just as a test. I also suggest not using hollow point.

I seem to recall a thread on here about 'nudging' the ejector over a little to make sure it is fully ejecting the spent brass, but I may have dreamt it. To be having that many jams with different brands of ammo, kinds of suggests it may be an issue with the rifle. I used to use Aguila (cheap and nasty) but since moving to Eley sport, I noticed marked improvements in consistency and accuracy. Possible that your hold on the mag well of the rifle could be effecting things. Make sure your rounds are staggered when loading mags, but also try and hunt that thread about the ejector.

walking.. as in sliding out of the frame? i was keeping an eye on that as the pins are slightly shorter than the frame is wide. they were solid though and didn't move

shooting federal automatch today in the 5 mags i shot. ya know, i did lay the rifle on the range bag while i set the targets up. when i came back the rifle had fallen off the bag and into 1 1/2 foot of snow (it was totally covered in snow. i should have taken a pic hah). i did the best i could to clean it out.. perhaps that could have been causing some issues. all cleaned up now and will head back to the range tomorrow with some cci

i do think i was holding, or leaning against the mag today as well. i brought a monopod w/ rubber v mount to hold the rifle up.. and while doing that i think i was pressing the monopod against the mag to stabilize. will keep that in mind tomorrow.

Hi to all and a Happy New Year.

rweller68, yes the pins that come with the 24C are a bit shorter than the standard. I checked this out with the supplier, who also has this trigger fitted to his 15-22 and was informed that I should use the pins that come with the 24C. Even though they are shorter I have not had any problems with them walking.
I have the lightest springs fitted and just love the improvement this has made.
Sorry to hear about your problem with jams, hope you get it sorted out.
