I'm new at this so forgive the ignorance. In trying to figure out if my .32 Hand Ejector is a Third Model, I looked in the SCSW 3rd edition and read that..."barrel markings are Smith & Wesson on the right side with 32 Long CTG on the left side". My question is which way do you view the revolver, with the barrel pointing away from you or toward you? I would think that to be safe, you would point the revolver away from you. If that's the case, my revolver is marked just the opposite. The Smith & Wesson is on the left and 32 Long CTG is on the right. Also it states...."a small S&W trademark is found on the left side of the frame, with a few having the trademark on the sideplate." My revolver has neither. The serial number is 283xxx which should make it a .32 Hand Ejector Third Model. Correct?
