NIB w/missing sear lever!

OP: Why would you take it back to sportsmans warehouse to send back?? SW sends the fed-ex, you call them and they pick it up, off to smith. SW sends the gun back to you not the dealer. Be Safe,

@vipermd. S&W could not give me any kind of turnaround time so I didn't want it showing up while on vacation and sitting on the porch. Would rather let it get checked back into the store and it will be there when I get back. Don't have to worry about it in the process.

This is not the first time we've heard of this. Apparently, the pin that holds the sear disconnect lever in place has been forgotten on some guns. Really embarrassing for S&W if you ask me."

Wait till it comes back and the nasty letter going to their CEO!

MP came back Friday. Looks good but won't be able to test it for a couple weeks due to vacation. Thanks to all!

When I first started reading the thread I had to wonder if you just bought one that didn't have the magazine disconnect (I read somewhere they made both types, one with, and one without it).

Easiest way would have been to show the right side of the gun if it had the Warning message below the ejection port. If that wasn't there, you simply had the rarer of the two models.

Judging from how long the thread has been, I think it's safe to assume yours had the message, just no lever - but apparently both models are out there, just like there's now a thumb safety and the new NTS models.

I'm not aware that there is a Shield w/o the mag disconnect, or warning billboard. Our store has never seen this variant, if it even exists, & we always have 4 Shields in stock. GARY
