One fortunate son, who owns a Model 66 2.5" They will shoot side by side with a 4" 66, any day of the week.

There are many good reasons why these pieces are so sought after.

Thanks for sharing.

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of lasers but these grips fit my hand so well I would almost buy them just for the grip...:)

I've been saying this for years, that Crimson Trace makes some really great feeling grips ergonomically. As far as rubber goes they feel much better than Hogue's and/or Pachmayr's. I too am not a fan of lasers. I wrote the company several times suggesting that they should sell versions without the laser, and each time they emailed me back and said there were no plans to do so. I think they are sitting on a goldmine and don't even know it.

Great looking 66 by the way.

I've always contended that the 2 1/2" M66 / M19 is the "sexiest gun" S&W ever made.

I personally opted to own a 3" M65 RB instead as I felt that the slightly longer barrel is better with Magnum loads and the fixed sights are a lot less likely to hang up when being carried concealed. That said...... I simply LOVE the symmetry of the 2 1/2" 66/19.

Had a M66 2.5" for many years. I put Pachmayr Presentation Compact grips on it. It would outshoot almost everything I had. I could easily roll 2 liter bottles at 125 yds. Got to thinking about the pretty little thing the other day......... Looked them up on Gunbroker and felt like an idiot (long sigh).

My dad had the exact same gun minus the laser grips. He traded it in on the 686 I now have in 1981. He carried the 66 virtually every day from the time he got it until he traded it. The 686 was on his hip for many years as well.

Back before I paid attention to things like dash numbers my 4" 66 must've been a dash 1, got it in '78. Wish I still had that though honestly I had a -2 with target trigger/hammer I miss more.
