Nickeled M 39s

I've seen some factory nickle plated M 39s; they're gorgeous! Were they marked with an "N" anyplace, like some of the revolvers were?

All of my revolvers are nickel and I had a nickel 539. It had an N but I can't remember where it was. At one of my first SWCA meetings I asked your question of a number of people and could not get an answer. In all honesty, they were all revolver collectors.

I have a nickle 39-2 and I cannot find an "N" anyplace. The serial no. prefix is A. I hope this helps. I do agree, they are gorgeous!

No 'N' on my 439.....but I do appreciate giving me a reason to get it out of the safe to look at it!!! Those nickel semi's sure are purdy.......
