Not even in the same ball park as Ian on the west coast, but she's been doing a job on the beaches along the east coast.

I took my mom to Ormond Beach that's a few miles from her place Sunday, and the surf was already lapping on a few building foundations.

Been seeing videos from St. Augustine to Port Orange. Beach's are pretty much gone. It happens to St. Augustine every couple years and the Army Corps sits a large barge a mile or so off shore and they pump great multitudes of sand back on the beach. First good nor easter removes it, but people love their beach front homes.

Live wave cam at St. Augustine pier. This is the first place the beach washes every year. Only thing stopping the waves is the sea wall they built. They should have built a better sea wall on the bay front! It's been under water since yesterday.

Good luck to you and the other folks in the Sunshine State, Wood...I hope you're spared major damage.

What's left of Nicole is going to hit us overnight tonight into tomorrow morning...shouldn't be too bad in my area, mostly heavy rain all day. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Had no damage at my place...I'm 2 miles inland.

Went to bed around 3:30 and got up at 9:30. Slept thru the worst of it. Still a little gusty thou.

The beach erosion is most bad. The ocean took parts of A1A out in my county, and Vilano Beach north of St. Augustine.

Pics in my county. I didn't take these.

A1A just north of the pier.

Anglin pier at the end of Commercial Blvd in Ft. Laud. lost a section out of the middle yesterday and one of our lift stations on the Intracoastal at Hollywood Beach submerged. Crews from Underground were setting up a bypass when I left work.

Only other damage I noted were downed palm fronds.
Mom in Lake Placid lost power around 8AM, looks like she's back online.

Nicole came in around Hutchinson Island in St. Lucie County, The Storm Surge caused extensive damage in Volusia and Flagler Counties…. Volusia Sheriff, Mike Chitwood ordered an evacuation of a Condo Bldg. Sea Coast Gardens, next to a County Lifeguard station which had collapsed into the Ocean, saving several lives…Wilbur by the Sea, had several houses collapse into the Ocean, AIA is also collapsed and shut down in several places including Indian River County……Last November Hurricane in Florida was 1987, which came in the Gulf and hit the Panhandle.

People are still cleaning up from Ian and there are concerns about additional flooding from the St. John's. Halifax River also flooded several Apt./ Condos in Port Orange area.

Nicole came in right over me, but the wind and rain were less than Ian a month or so ago. Oceanfront property took a beating, minor flooding in the usual low areas, some power outages, but overall, little damage here.
