No civilians need a AR15

...except those that have malign elements in their population.

I'm a bit surprised by this. I hope I understand it correctly? We have sworn law enforcement for that nearly inconsiderable issue, preferably LOCAL law enforcement, and in my sixty-plus years I've never seen activities by any such elements that I worried local law enforcement could not handle, if the need should arise.

I still want my rifles and I am still suspicious of government at any level that implies I cannot be trusted to possess them.

If you lived in Homestead Florida and nearby, when Andrew hit, you would understand why AR's are necessary.
BPVs are nice as well, along with lotsa fresh water.... 50 gallons during storm season.

Mine says Ruger AR-556 but I suspect it is really a Colt or Armalite AR-15 in disguise.

Worked with an older Gentleman who served in Vietnam.

Said he used to detach the sling on his issued M-14 where it attaches to the back of the stock, stand firmly on the strap with his left foot so the muzzle wouldn't rise, and let her rip full-auto into the jungle.

Said the enemy used to hate that!

Must have been near to a well stocked base, but I have no reason to doubt him. :D

I fear when the Ballon goes up there will be millions wishing they had one. But then it will be too late.

M29since14-law enforcement won't last a day. The bad guys outnumber and outgun them. Also why do you put your faith in LE? They only show up after the fact.

I just looked and there is only one option of ammo available for my AR15, at 2.40 per round. I only have enough powder left to make 6 more rounds and I still need to do some testing in April. Guess I will have to make the several hundred I already have make it threw until the world returns to the newer normal.

What's it chambered in?

I'll take one semi-auto please. Hold the superfluous furniture.

That would be nice, thank you.

Yeah, I don't get all the gimcracks and gewgaws folks hang on their guns these days. There are guys shooting at 25-yard indoor ranges in my area with ARs festooned with scopes, lasers, flashlights, and all sorts of stuff that Eugene Stoner never thought that rifle needed.

Alvin York (anybody remember him?) killed 25 German soldiers and took another 132 prisoner with a bolt-action rifle and a 1911 pistol...just sayin'...

That's because Alvin had a head on his shoulders.
Did I just get cross threaded? ;)

I had two others years ago, but sold them when I needed money.

Then I heard a rumor of a possible ban on the sale of them here and I headed to the gunshop that same day.

The NRA has never been so valuable and now some of my non shooting friends are interested in shooting. I didn't shrug to look surprised in anyway, I just support them and teach them all i can.

Lots of mention of Canada, where The Chinese army conducts winter training excersises, With Trudopes knowledge and permission.

ROB613,

It's 12.7 X 42, otherwise known as 50 Beauwulf. Still not running right, I think its the operator. I have failures to feed properly with 10 and 9 rounds in the standard 30 round magazine, I think it will work properly with 8 rounds, just need to test all the mags. Not my first gun to go to in a SHTF situation.
