No civilians need a AR15

I'm not sure what it's called but I like it. "Hits what you point it at" is a good enough name. Joe

....I have no clue what you mean by an AR15?
1st question I have is; why do you need a permit to buy a rifle which is a right guaranteed by the constitution.

Yes, I live in a state where I have to have a permit to buy a rifle and ammo still I don't understand why it is needed.

An AR-15 is a rifle manufactured by Armalite or Colt and so labeled. The AR stands for Armalite Rifle the 15 stands for the 15th attempt at making it work as intended.

Note: It is not a true AR-15 unless it is manufactured by either Colt or Armalite.

Some you fellers want a FA rifle..........ME.....What I want is DILLON MINI GUN and a semi trailer load of ammo for it........Course a good ol Gatling gun mounted on my front porch railing would be a good deterent for my 1/4 mi. driveway.

No civilian really needs an AR-15 rifle but if they have the money to buy one and they want to buy one.
Then they should be allowed to do that.

If someone possesses firearms in certain locations, they can be put in a cage for simply possessing it! So much for the right to keep and bare arms!

If the government can regulate, take a right away from you, it's not really a right, is it!

Much the same way sparkling wine can only be called champagne if it comes from the Champagne region of France. I'm going to call my non-Armalite, non-Colt ARs "Sparkling Poodle Shooters".

My weekly yelling at the Sunday morning talk shows like Meet the press was extra loud this weekend. I found it sickening that the Democrats were praising an old Grandma for going to get her free Full auto AK47 to protect her neighborhood and country. Those same Democrats are the people that want to take away my semi-auto AK47 that I bought with my own hard earned money.

Took me a while to understand it, but hey, I'm onboard!

Look at Ukraine...they are desperate for all the military rifles they can get right now.

Took you awhile to understand you need to protect you family and country against all odds. and your safety is totally up to you ?

I look at it this way, if a person isnt going to kill you with his single shot 22 he not going to turn murder if he gets a Uzi. I have a movie made in my gun room. Most people think it a still picture. Would you believe not one riflle has moved on its own.

Our government has tons of them. We picked a lot of them up in the desert of Iraq (and other places)( several years ago.

Seems that we left a few zillion M-16's in a desert here recently too.

Our best weapons forever have been the Atlantic and Pacific. Unless the Canadians are poisoned by bad LaBatts beer (likely the Blue), go crazy, and go after the casino at Great Falls, we shouldn't face a Ukraine-like situation.

I suffer from chronically low paranoia.

Ever see the movie "The Day After"?

Picture This:

A nut job puts his troops on high nuclear alert and gets angry at all the help Ukraine is getting from the west.

So he decides to push the button.

Both us and Russia are decimated in the aftermath, with pockets of survivors here and there.

China has been watching from the sidelines and decides that now is the time to launch an all-out war against what remains of America.

...and there you are with your AR-15 and a few 10 round magazines if your that fortunate.

ETA: "Get a shotgun."

...yea, I don't think so.

After hearing about "guns being handed out like candy" in the Ukraine on the news, I was wondering something. We here are talking about getting ammo, but I didn't hear about how much ammo was given out with each gun. Guns without ammo are obviously just fancy clubs. I hope and pray that the citizens have access to whatever ammo they need to protect themselves, their family, and their country.

What I heard on TV was two full mags per rifle.
