The only time I don't bell (flair) a case mouth, is when using a jacketed rifle bullet.
I've been casting and reloading for 30+ years. This is the first time I've ever heard such about not belling the case mouth for a cast bullet.
I have and use the Lyman M dies for several cartridges I load and they work as should when needed. Other than that, I'd love to see them load a sized case with a flatbase (or beveled for that matter) without shaving lead.
