No, that will not "work" for me.

Well, instead of sitting at home staring at the walls you were able to have multiple conversations with people you never talked with before and will most likely never talk to again and time goes on.

People keep saying that I have patience. I'm not so sure. I think it's more like angry stubbornness.

I honestly believe that big places like Amazon or Walmart have these virtual walls in place in an attempt to bilk you out of your money. Some of it is to stop the idiots from calling, but most is to stop good people who've spent good money and just want a fair deal.

I'll bet most would have stopped after the first one and called it quits. Most of those left would have stopped at the second one and just chalked the small amount of money lost up to experience. Well, I hate that kind of thinking.

It's my sincere hope that the chat center in India (I'm sure that's who I was talking to) feels like I've wasted their time. I hope they learn from this and make a better system. They won't, but I can dream.

The most fun I had like that was when we lived in Tucson. Someone called, asked if I was me. I said yes and they told me they were going to come repo my Chevy van. Since I didn't have said van I said OK come get it. LONG silence and they figured out the van belonged to someone else with my name.

Ok, now I'll add this;

Just went through something similar (but not as complicated) with SARCO. I recently added an M1a to the family, and it being an early one, needs a bayonet. So off on the quest. SARCO advertises they have them. Used, reconditioned and more importantly, in stock.

Order one, receive confirmation and will be notified when it ships. (They say they are running behind so it might take a bit). After 3 weeks I check my order number on the website. That order doesn't exist.

I contact them through their website, and list the order #. I receive a short reply - "The item you ordered is on backorder. We will notify you when and if it becomes available."

When and "IF"?!? I go back to their website and sure enough, its now "out of stock" and on backorder. (Where do you "order" 50 year old bayonets from?)

To their credit, they gave me no grief about cancelling the order and the refund. I just wish they had said it from the get-go and saved me 4 weeks of pacing back and forth.

On a happier note, my new, still in the box, 12/68 packaged Mil-Par M6 Bayonet should be here Saturday!:D:D

Rastoff thank you for sharing that nightmare.

I think I talked to your friend Priyanka a few years ago on the telephone about a mistake they made on my Penny's account only she told me her name then was Becky Mathews, pronounced it very funny though.

In fact had a very hard time understanding anything she said.

No more biddness with Jacques Penna.

I guess that's possible.

The winner was eveled.

I'll give it one more day and then move on.

Eveled was online 8 hours ago, so for some reason they didn’t notice.

Another suggestion would be to quote his or her original post and inform them.

My story is not as long, and so far not as promising. In February I ordered some 9mm ammo from Bass Pro. I almost immediately received a shipping confirmation. About 20 minutes later I received one of those "Oops" emails stating that the ammo was out of stock, but my order (and credit card payment) would be placed on back order until the beginning of April, when the ammo would again be in stock.
To make a long story longer than it needs to be, about a week into April I get an email from Bass Pro telling me that I could order the same 9mm ammo, since it was now in stock. I responded with an email asking Bass Pro why I needed to order again since I was still waiting for fulfillment of my original order. I got an "I'm sorry" email telling me that the ammo was still out of stock, but should now arrive the first week of May. Meanwhile, my credit card charge still shows as a "pending" sale.
I'll let you know if it ever arrives. Am I holding my breath, "No".

Ok, here's the follow up. Bass Pro came through. FedEx delivered my ammo today. So I guess the only takeaway from this is that you have to be patient (and order when the price is low).

At least you got the ammo. That doesn't excuse how they handled this.
