Quick question on my 4506 the mag disconnect somehow got damage from the slide. Cant figure how that happened. So I removed it from the slide. Upon doing so I cant figure out how to align the rear sight back to spec. Is there a certain measurement or just hit the range and tap tap tap. Figured I will do anyways. How do you guys align the front with the rear sight. Thanks

I use a magnifier, and carefully move the sight base to a position in the slide that leaves the same amount of vacant space exposed in the base of the sight cut at each side/end of the sight body. The front sight should be in the center from the factory, unless you've removed or changed it.

If you believe that there's a possibility the windage may need to be adjusted, take the tools to the range.

I'll 2nd, center the rear sight then range time. Tap the rear sight until you're zero'd. Once you're zero'd, scribe a line to mark the sights position. This way you'll know the sights correct position if you need to remove or replace the sight.
