Hello all,

I have and continue to be impressed with all the products I have, have a forum to learn more than you would really ever want about the product.

I'll be taking delivery on a M&P 40c w/ crimson trace, with intention to CCW. Yes, WI is not a ccw state yet, but with our new governor it will not be long!

There is a website, Gregcotellc.com. you can get s&w factory mags for just 25 a pop. I also picked up two full size 15 round mags and added the X-grip, to get an additional 5 rounds at the range and hunting

I'm sure that I will need to absorb much more info as i read on, and come with questions as they surface.

I'd love to get my permit but who knows what the requirements will be? Mas is holding a class in Southern WI in a month, and of course his class is $400, but it SHOULD be enough to gain a WI CCW I would think.

I don't need more clips, I need a speed loader or a cute Swedish gal to load them for me....

Yes... It's been too long!! I am also a fan like mark flynn the chief of police for MilwaukeePD, stated he would like to see illegal carry to be a felony.

I'm holding out Just for your comment, They may take a Utah reciprocity. But ill wait until everything is solid, and take the class then.

I know some instructors who are pretty close to the legislators introducing the law (a friend of a friend of a cousin type thing ) and from what I hear the Utah training most likely will NOT be acceptable because it mandates no range time. Wisconsin will likely be at least as strict as our neighboring states, knowing the liberals we have here I won't be surprised if the only law that gets through requires paramilitary training and rectal GPS tracking of every legally licensed carrying citizen.

On a side note: Did you hear the interview of the witness at Congresswoman Giffords shooting that had a weapon and was near her, but as shots started flying he took off running the other direction? I don't THINK that's what I would do... I think I'd take cover, assess the situation and see if I could save some lives, but I guess I won't know until something like that actually happens....

Funny how the guy said he came back from around the block after the shooting had ended and men were restraining the suspect and he wasn't scared because he was packing.

With being in stressfull situations as a FF/EMT, I am trained to asses what is going on already. So I may be more prepared to draw, but in a shots fired situation, there shouldn't be any question. Now the pursuit of that subject, you may get caught up with the secret service/personal.

You probably need to be in that situation before you can decide, nutinfacny has a great video on youtube about this very issue

Actually, nutnfancy has several videos related to "Close to Engage" and the topic of being a civilian or professional "sheep dog". (I appreciate this term and mindset). In fact, there were sheep dogs in the Tucson melee, who stepped up to the challenge of physically accosting/subduing this POS.

These two in particular, among his other great vids, should be required viewing for all who decide to ccw.

I completely agree, and have seen both. He also has the 'CC Protocol" and "Obligation of carry"

As for the WI requirements: I'm sure they will allow/ honor reciprocity
