Noting wrong with carrying a SHIELD and a .380 BUG.
I don't think it's less accurate. I watched a video review of Hicok45 reviewing and shooting the Shield and he was hitting them thar targets at quite a distance pretty easily. The demonstration, actually getting to see it being shot, has me salivating to own one.So you get a longer handled, less accurate, lower capacity gun...
My first semi auto was the LCP which had easier recoil than my J frame shrouded hammer. Then came along the BG.380 and I discovered that it was easier to shoot than the LCP .. less recoil probably because you can get one more finger on the grip and I can rack/lock the slide back. I could not do that with the LCP. Needless to say .. the LCP went bye byeI now have a dilemma. Do I sell the BG.380 now that I have the Shield? The whole idea with the Shield was to help to narrow down to the 9mm. I have plenty of .380 stashed away, bought cheaply over a year ago. I just may wait a while to decide. Being a woman .. it's my birth right to do that ..lol
Ha ha.Kris it certainly is your birthright. If the BG is running well and not giving any problems I'd suggest keeping it as well as the Shield.Never know when you may need a second gun.You already have the ammo stash, may as well make use of it.
I really liked the Shield I handled for what it is.Seriously considering selling off one of the 2nd gen Glunks and getting one.Not for the wife though.....for ME!![]()
You're banned! How dare you espouse such herresy here! Naa.. I like alot of aspects about my PPS. Notibly, the fact that I can NEVER inadvertantly release the mag while carrying OR inadvertantly engage an external safety while carrying. I know it's point and bang no questions. No surprises that would cost me seconds and mabe my life. Please don't ban me! I checked out a Shield today side by side with a 9c and I wasn't all that impressed. The hard part of a gun to conceal is the grip, and it is actually longer than the 9c. They shortened the barrel, but I would think that would affect accuracy. They slimmed it down, which sacrifices capacity. So you get a longer handled, less accurate, lower capacity gun with no interchangeability of mags or accessories between other M&Ps. I would rather have the 9c. Hopefully the prices will come down a little now!

I rented a Shield recently and found it easier to shoot (less recoil) than any of my J's, but heavier and not really a pocket gun (my preferred method). Great product but I'm still undecided about purchasing one.
I also own a BG 380 and am thinking about a Shield. What would I do with the BG 380? Answer: carry it when the Shield doesn't fit in the pockets of the pants I have on!
