Smooth target stocks made of rosewood or Goncalo alves and produced from 1953 to 1956 or so are a little shorter than the stocks that were made in 1957 and later. You should find a pair of these stocks and put them on your ".357" as they would really dress it up.

Yeah, you can say that. The pre-war medallions add alot and they are not mass produced.

All my nickel guns came with a darker wood color on the grips. The blues guns come with a lighter color on the wood. Ever notice this?

Rick A, I agree with you. The shortened grips are more of a match to the overall profile of the gun.
