I'm finding that Ebay is full of scammers. I've been trying to sell some items and for every item I list I get one or two who either try to work around the system or make false claims about what they purchased. I had one guy who wanted a refund even though it clearly stated "no refunds" claiming improper packaging. The item was insured which was at my expense and I suspect it was damaged in shipment or he was making a false claim. I told him to file a claim and I would work with him on it. Never heard from him again so I'm thinking a scam.
I'm starting to realize how a shrinking economy is affecting the way some people try to make a living, if you want to dress it up. If they can figure out a way to steal using a computer they will try that before actually getting an education/training and looking for an honest job.
Consciously putting any personal information on the internet is becoming riskier by the day. FTF with cash and a 38 will eventually become the most secure and least expensive way to do business again, I'm pretty sure of that. It eliminates the state and lots of other folks who really don't have any business in your business.
