Now it's fishless fish

I’ve had the Crab-less Crab in Grocery Store Crab Salad.
But I think it’s mostly some kind of fish.
As least I hope it is!

It is Alaska Pollock, a fish caught by the millions of pounds with a trawl nets in the Alaskan waters.
Made into crab and lobster mostly, but can be flavored as most any light texture white meat fish.

What we need is a bottomless bourbon

Back when Oklahoma only had hard booze in private clubs, the
law stated you had to bring in your own bottle and the barkeep
would put your name on the bottle and you could only be
served from that bottle. I had several bottles in several clubs
that never went dry, even after years of continued use.

The crab-less crab is made from a product called surimi. Surimi is made from the fish parts that most of us toss in trash. The parts are highly processed, then flavored and shaped to resemble crab meat.

I did 20 years in the Coast Guard, I made my first Bering Sea fisheries patrol in 1973 and my final patrol in 1991, I boarded and inspected fishing boats and processors. I have seen it all including the surimi process.

No fishless fish, no beefless beef, no porkless pork, no chickenless chicken (may have already partaken?) or hotdogless hotdogs for me. Nope.
Pretty soon they will be telling us to eat bugs!

My grandson was involved in research to take the waste and water at fish processing plants and turn it into Dehydrated Protein Flakes. The use was suppose to be to fortify food in 3rd world countries. I don’t believe it will end up in our processed food. It’s colorless, odorless and tasteless.

Friend of mine had a pretty cool hydroponic setup. He was growing vegetables (No, not cannabis! :rolleyes: ) and was feeding the plants with waste from the Talapia he was raising in the tank. The pump ran on solar.
