Well - I'm fried -- I live just a couple of miles from Offutt AFB - former home of Strategic Air Command, (where I spent the better part of my military career), and now home to USSTRATCOM. Probably Ground Zero for ever ---.

About that WANTING to survive bit. Most my adult life I was single, dareing and reckless. Most of that changed when I got a family and responsabiltys. When you have other people to support and depending on you, it WILL change your outlook! Two years ago I was faced with keeping my nose or my life. When I was single, I really belive I would have taken the gamble and kept the beak.
Reminds me of a story a southern friend of mine told me of when he was a boy. He claimed he would walk past this old christian black mans house. Usualy the old man could be heard praying, saying, Lawd, jus come and get me, ahm ready lawd, this world is so wicked. One night my buddy was going to have some fun. Old Jake was praying again. Bill called out in his lowest deep voice and said, Jake! This is God, I come ta git ya! Things were quiet a minute, Jake yelled back, Lawd! Jake dont live here! Hes down the end of the road on the right!
