I got it yesterday and sent my self edited thoughts.

Taking away lawn darts didn't stop stupid kids from hurting themselves, so how will these laws prevent crime?

Laws like this don't prevent crime. They only add to the cost of a transfer and give the Gov't a record of the sale (which is prohibited by the GCA of 1968).

Intrastate sales between private individuals are not under federal jurisdiction and were never intended to be. It's not a loophole and it will not deter crime. It's just another chip away from our freedoms. Don't buy into it and let your representitves know how you feel.

I won't waste my time as there is no anti gun bill proposed that they haven't supported.

A couple of thoughts, though.

This bill and the other stupid anti gun will, will likely pass the House. That's a winner take all system, where a simple majority rules.
It is almost certain to die in the Senate because their rules are far more complicated.
On the off chance either bill passes, President Trump has promised to veto them.
There are not enough votes in either House to overrule a veto. Not even close.

I'll leave the political stuff out other than to say 2020 is going to be a critical election for freedom and the Constitution.

You then, sir, are part of the problem. MAKE YOURSELF HEARD!!!

The bill passed the House, 240-190, with 8 Reps voting for it and two Dems against. A last minute revision by 26 Dems added in the ICE clause. The bill now goes to the Senate.

Exactly! Remaining silent is voting in approval of whatever gets passed.

Where it will hopefully meet a swift end. President Trump has already said that if it passes the Senate and comes to his desk, it will be vetoed.

HB 8

The recently passed HB 8 has this important exemption:

A transfer that is a loan or bona fide gift between
spouses, between domestic partners, between parents and their
children, including step-parents and their step-children,
between siblings, between aunts or uncles and their nieces or
nephews, or between grandparents and their grandchildren, if
the transferor has no reason to believe that the transferee
will use or intends to use the firearm in a crime or is
prohibited from possessing firearms under State or Federal law;

Hope I am not too late. I just saw this and responded.
H.R.8 passed the House last week and has gone to the senate, where my two senators are in full support as well as supporting the house bill that allows a 10 day delay in approving firearms purchases.
