Hello, all,
I don't know how to add a NRA logo to my postings (I'm not much of a 'computer person' and can just barely work the computer enough to use the internet), but I've been NRA life for a great many years now. If someone will tell me how to add the 'NRA lifer' logo, I'd like to do it.
If its at all possible, I'd really like to 'get lucky' with finding 22 rounds, tho. I'm the organiser in charge of our local rifle club's 'free new shooters day', once a month at out local indoor range, in which we provide the use of our privately owned weapons for basic safety/proficiency instruction for newbies, mostly young people, and women who are contemplating purchase of a handgun for self-defence.
(and the Smith&Wesson context is that the newbies have fired literally thousands of rounds of 22 in my old (1948 vintage) pet K22, and some smaller amounts in my old M&P 38's, and my pet M58....not very much 41, as I load down to '41 special' so to speak, for range use)
Since the event is 'free' to the participants, I do my best to scrounge free or cheap 22 rounds, as I can say 'its for a good cause'. The event has been operating for four years, now, and the newbies do burn a lot of 22 rounds.......but we can't do realistic practical basic instruction by skimping on ammo allotments for trainees.
Here's the write-up for the event, on the Calguns web-site......if the 'link' works, that is, or do 'cut and paste' for the internet page address.
I use the nom-de-plume 'Asphodel' on the Calguns site, as another Carla had already taken the name there........thats from ancient Greek mythology, the asphodel being a little flower which grows on the banks of the river Styx.

With 22 being harder and harder to get, these days, if anyone can spare some 22 rounds for 'a good cause', I'd gratefully appreciate.
cheers
Carla
