I just sent in my application for an NRA membership. This was something I hadn't thought about to much previously. Given the political climate, I think there is a call to give this serious thought. If there are any in this forum who have put this off like I have, this might be a good time to give careful consideration. This forum rocks and that missing NRA sticker next to my login name made me realize I needed to do more to add support to the 2nd amendment.

NRA member for 15 years, since Clinton era the second amendment have been in danger, my advice is: never stop fighting for our rights. Thanks for join us.

Absolutely necessary. Our gun rights are in great danger.
The 1960's were bad, Clinton was much worse, and today,
well, this is the worst ever.
I've been a life member for over 50 years and we must all pitch in
if we don't want to end up like the rest of the world.

While any large organization may not always share my exact view on all issues, the NRA, most importantly of all, fights to protect our 2nd Amendment. That is reason enough for me. And the lifetime membership has some really nice perks with it.
RIP Charleton Heston

Welcome to the NRA. It's a great organization to be a part of. Consider how many organizations and politicians are out there trying to deny us our 2nd Amentment rights. We absolutely need a very strong NRA fighting for us in the national arena. You should also think about joining or supporting other gun rights organizations.

Been a life member for over 20 years. Like someone else posted I don't necessarily agree with everything little they do but believe that they are are best chance of keeping our freedom to own and use firearms.

Welcome to the NRA. In today's world, membership is more important than ever. I like to chip in a contribution whenever I can, this year I sent in more than usual, for obvious reasons.

Well stated. Good to have you as an NRA member, Pyro.

Join and support your 2A rights folks!

Member since I was a kid back in the 1960s, finally changed to life member about6-7 years ago.

I have been an NRA member since the early '70's. I still have a NRA sticker on my Hunters Pistol Silhouette gun case when the NRA was shooting for 2 million members in 1980 and made it. In checking current membership it shows right at 4 million give or take. I would have thought we would have more members than that by now. I also encourage anyone who believes in the right to own firearms and the right to protect your family to join. Join the NRA now if you haven't already done so.

NRA Is A Must

While I've only been an NRA member for over 1 year, it's an information source that provides details that really helps to understand how seriously in danger our 2nd Amendment rights are right now.

For example, they were instrumental in stalling NATO from infringing our rights to own firearms. But that battle is not over and this election will impact that effort.

Thanks for joining NRA. Encourage your friends to do so too!

I recommend that people join the NRA and at least one state gun rights organization. If you live in a state which respects the Second Amendment and there is a state near you which doesn't, donate to that state's gun rights movement.

We need to continue to fight even if it looks like our rights are secure, because the enemies of freedom always seem to be just one election away from gaining power again.
