Clamp on or set screw?

Getting Free float handguard so need to swap stock gas block..
Don't particularly relish thought of dimpling the barrel, but based off anyones experience is one better than the other?

Thanks in advance,

I used set screws. There is always going to be a gas block on there, so I dont know why some are worried about putting marks on there barrel. No one will ever see them.

I used the troy Low Profile. It has two setscrews at 6 o'clock.
Once I was completely satisfied with the alignment and operation, I removed them one at a time and dimpled the barrel with a drill bit and reset the setscrew with red locktite.
I don't think its going to move

i got the troy industries low profile gas block. i just took it to a gunsmith and let him do what he needed.
