Law enforcement authorities will be visiting communities across upstate NY to explain the states new, stricter gun laws. Sessions were set for today in Ithaca, Rochester, and Lake Placid just to mention a few. They are the first of these that I've heard of. I'll try to update everyone once I hear how they went. I hope that these venues were filled to capacity with New Yorkers who feel that their 2nd Amendment rights are being infringed upon!

CMP new letter say no more direct sales of rifles to NY, has to goto an FFL

WOW, just wow

Would I be mistaken to conclude that some "infringement" is going on in NY?

Isn't anyone going to challenge this in the courts?

I would guess that challenges are being drafted but that it takes time to consult with attorneys and make sure the challenge is properly drafted and submitted. So it could take a while to get the actual filing to the courts. At the very least, I would "expect" the NRA and GOA to file challenges.

And lastly, if it is challenged and somehow stands, would that not imply the 2nd Amendment has been successfully breached by the Progressives?

New York State Rifle & Pistol Association is going through the process of bringing a lawsuit upon the state. They took the first legal step yesterday and now have (I believe) 90 days to bring forth legal action. If we in New York lose as far up as the Supreme Court, then one would think that any other state legislature could push through an identically unconstitutional bill without fear of it being overturned. The politicians may lose their jobs, but their laws will stand longer than they will.

Way to go don't give an inch. I hope that the Governor loses his job and forgets about running for President. We would be better off if he just
resigns from office.
Good luck and please keep us informed.
