It'll turn into another decade of court battles and if the Supreme Court becomes more liberal it could be ugly

Unfortunately NYS is controlled by the Democrats in both houses and we have a real winner of a Governor, Andrew Cuomo. He is as shady as they come being the former head HUD under Clinton. Just look at his face.

As I've said in another post, he's welcome to try. I just hope he's prepared to fend off litigation for violating the civil rights of New York citizens.

New York already sucks big time with all the liberal, tax and spend bull ****! I will simply move out of this hell hole state!

I will seriously decide where I want to move. I refuse to pay any more taxes to this dictatorial state. Time to move to a free state perhaps like Texas or Florida where my freedoms are still relatively intact!

Arizona could use a few more honest gun owners!

Lol I wish! I'm stuck in jersey it's no better then new york, but family is family and I will not let gun control run my life it is what it is I have to deal but az would be fun!

I live in Florida and would sudgest you Texas, here there is no Open Carry, with CCL you need to get background check anyway and at leats in the Southeast there is a lack of good ranges and hunting zones.

I left NYS 22 years ago and never looked back. 12 years ago I had looked at a job in NYS. Aside from property taxes that required a second mortgage payment, and overall taxes and costs in general, what really detered me were the gun laws. In order to bring my S&W revolvers into the state each one of them had to be transfered in through a dealer (at some $$$ each). For me to have them I had to apply for a permit - but had to live there for 6 months before I could apply, and then there was no guarantee that I would be "granted" the permit.... So I would have had to take the job, buy a house, move there, and after 6 months apply for the permit, wait however many months to see if they would give me one and then transfer each in through a dealer. In the meantime my collection is sitting out of state waiting to see if I am "granted permission".. And most of my stuff is on my C&R license - which is not sufficient in NYS for owning pistols..
I just learned a few weeks back that NYS still goes by the 94' "Klinton Ban" laws on magazines and "evil" rifles etc....
And they want to make it more stringent up there???

Texas is a lot like hell. We can always use a little more water and more good people. Other than that it's a good place to live. You can even carry inside the state capitol with a CCL. Come on down.

I left the stinky state of Maryland 10 years ago because of their gun
laws and liberal tax and spend policies. I also know about 8 to 10 other
shooters who did the same. Under good conscience could not give them
anymore of my tax money. First thing I did when in West Virginia was
apply for my carry permit.

Buy back, sure, I want 100 grand for my 6906 but I'm keeping what I really like, my model 65.

I'm sure you'll still be able to get guns of various types in NY . . . if youre extremely wealthy & connected, for the paid armed bodyguards of said wealthy/connected, . . . . or if youre a criminal

Moving from state to state is only a temp. fix. Federal law is dictated by support from big liberal cities and states. Until state law is predominate all states will eventually fall prey to the real issue of gun control and that is the total disarmament of America to achieve the new world order.

Don't forget us in Vermont! We are just across Lake Champlain, laughing our asses off at New York!
I live in the land of the free! You should come check us out, bring your guns too!
No permit system. I carry openly or concealed as I chose and I love it!
No hassles from people no worries.
