Grandpa called me and asked me to come over when he heard I was looking for my first gun. When I got to his house he had Marlin model 24 12g on the table. You know the kind that will skin the crotch of your hand with the action if you dont pay attention? Its in really good shape for its age with good wood and a nice brown patina on the metal. I think the last patent date is 1903 or 1906 on it.
