At 50 yards with irons the only way I'd pull that off is by shooting into a bag full of dimes. hahaha

Great shooting!

It was pretty much the last few shots of the day. I was there for a while dialing the sights in and was feeling good since I was putting my shots right around the center. So i taped the dime up to the bullseye and gave it a try. 4 shots later, I walked up and checked and was pleasantly surprised.

One of these days, I intend to try to do the same from 100yards.

If you do the same from 100 yards with irons you should be competing, the great thing about shooting is your are never to old to compete....:D

This is from 50yd using the Federal 100rd red box from Wally World, believe they are 55gr.
Iron sites
Not sure about the 1 flyer that is high and any of the shots below the box were shooting somewhere else on the paper. I used homemade targets and I put 5 targets on one paper. The dark box is 2"x2".

50 yards out with Troy battle folding rear sight and a1 front sight. Shoot many times with fmj 223 none made more than a dent, so broke out some FBI surpluses armor perching bhp what a hot round. All shot out of a m&p 15 A

Dang Hoss I guess that is piercing....where did you get the 0432....I spent some time as a 0431 along time ago....

Not the first time I've heard that. Ive been thinking about it, but with my first kid on the way, my times about to get very limited.

Mustang....I do alright with Irons....but not that good that is why I scope almost everything. That is excellent gun control.

the 15-22 slidefire shooting offsets the M&P 15 Sport shooting for sure.....:D

This is Today's Shooting.... all my OWN loads... some where GREAT some ok....only 1 bad load outa 180 shot... Primer was Upside Down....LOL
X-Terminator 24.4gr with 55gr FMJBT seemed the best. Varget had some GOOD POOP but is terrible to load...

I find off hand at anything over 50 difficult, some days I do well other days I truly suck. I think it is relative to how much coffee I drink! LOL

Did my 1st Stage of Accuracy work.....

Took my 3lb spring from my JP Trigger system (1st one i put in my M&P 15-22 before timney) and put it in my M&P Sport..... got it down to a solid 4.8lbs... Think it was like 6.5lbs.... Forgot ta test Both Rigs before I removed Triggers:eek::D

Then put the Red JP Spring in the Bushy C15.... got it to a SOLID 6lb Pull.... think it was like 8.5lbs when I tested it before.... again... didnt test it before I changed it....LOL

They both seem a LOT smoother than prior... so Hope this helps My Grouping.... wish me LUCK

This is my Kitchen Table as of Now..... 3 AR's Dismantled, cleaning, ta get ready for Monday.... No Shooting on Sundays Now... we race at the shop on Sundays now... So MONDAY... is MY DAY.....

What scope were you using....I am keeping an eye on my $200 dollar scope, the Bushnell on my Sport. It is the most I have ever paid for a scope and I almost expect it to do something weird!!

It was that centerpoint scope from wallysworld, worked awsome the first two times out at the range approx- 400-500 rounds with it but yesterday at the 300 every time I fired the recoil would move the crosshairs and the more I shot the worse it got. the NCStar scope I paid 160 for is still good as gold but its on my 15-22, so I am thinking about getting a better NCStar or a nikon
this is what im thinking of buying
