Odd 53 JET

Haven't gotten all of the details but trying to find ballpark price. A friend of a friend is getting divorced and needs cash. And no, I'm not going to rip her off, looking for fair pricing. Might not even buy the guns myself, I'm bringing 2 of my buddies to look also.

M53 with 6 inch barrel, both cylinders and box, vvg-exc. Not sure what dash.

With the inserts and both barrels...I guessin around $950.00 or so.

I rarely see them with the extra cylinder. In EXC condition with original box, grips, and both cylinders, around here, it would go pretty fast in the 1000-1200 range. Most shops/dealers would probably retail it around 1400 and go from there.

OK, now I'm more confused . I went to look at the gun, it was marked Model 53, had a pinned barrel marked 22 magnum, and the finish sure as heck looked brushed stainless, not nickel. The cylinder was recessed and had the inserts.What is it?
No 22 aux cylinder or box.

Sounds like a 4-5 hundred dollar gun now.

That's what I was thinking Alan. I didn't know enough to make an offer. If it was nickel, it was more of a brushed finish. Should have taken off the grips.

I was talkin to a friend of mine, he said he read article where they made some stainless 53's for S&W higher ups. Any truth to that?
