Odd misfire

Today took my brand new MP 15-22 out. Within 30 rds I had 2 misfires. What would happen is the spent shell wouldn't eject but a live round would load. After placing it on safe and removing the mag and spent casing I reinserted the mag and as soon as I switched to fire it discharged without the trigger being pulled. Anybody else ever have this happen? This happed twice within 30 rds.

Don't shoot it again. Speak to S&W and have them fix it. My money is on the FCG (faulty spring) for the misfire. Are you talking about the spent case not being flung out of the breech before the bolt closes on the next round? (stovepiping)

Correct , the spent casing wouldn't eject before loading a live round. The scary thing is the safety switch shooting the live round. I am taking it back to local store to ship back to Sand W on Monday.
