I went to an estate sale in our subdivision about four years ago. It was one street over, just behind our house. They had three identical office chairs and two of them still had the instruction packets cable tied to the frame. My office chair was junk and these seemed pretty nice, so I bought one for $75 and brought it home. I had never heard of Humanscale before, so I looked it up online.

When I picked myself up off the floor, I went back and bought another one. My neighbors wife works from home a lot, so I told them about it. They went over and bought the last one.
One went in the wife’s office, the other at my desk. They’re well made and comfortable, but I would never pay full price for one. Mrs. Chad loves hers. I was OK with mine, but I just about got whiplash when I fell asleep at the computer.
A couple years later, I found this at another estate sale for $60.
I sat in it and found it be very comfortable and sturdy. Best of all, it had a headrest and enough adjustments to fit just about anyone (I’m 6’5”)! It’s a WorkPro Quantum 9000. They’re about $470 at Office Depot, but you can get one on Amazon for $375. I highly recommend it.
The Mrs. now has one Liberty Task chair in her upstairs office and another at her sewing table downstairs. I spend hours each day on the computer in my quantum 9000 and couldn’t be happier with it!
