Two days after the Parkland shooting, an alert security officer at a California school overheard a student commenting about launching an attack on the school. Investigators detained the 17 year old and searched his home. They found two AR-15s, one registered and one unregistered, two handguns and 90 thirty-round rifle magazines.

This is how it should work. But, how do these kids amass all the weapons and ammo without their parents knowing?

But from my experience, illegally is the easiest way. When my son was on the street he told me his could get me any gun I wanted, custom stolen.

Turn out too that he did have an illegal pistol. That REALLY bothered me. No, bothered isn't the word.....

ZACTLY!

It does make one think.

I can't afford 2 AR's & 90 mags, & 2 handguns, let alone the ammo. Especially in Kali???? I guess it is possible for parents (?)
to be that oblivious. There really oughta be MORE laws. All the crystals & Himalayan salt lamps must have been defective. ;)

Kids looking for their 15 minutes of fame/infamy. Mostly due to lack attention, love/discipline from their parents.

As a kid,I knew if I got in trouble at a friends house I would probably get a whuppin' from his mom and another when I got home, but I also knew if someone harmed me or threatened me, my folks was like a Grizzle bear protectin' their cub. I knew I was loved and protected and that was enough.

I had my own .22 rifle when I was 12, and a 300 H&H magnum when I was 14, but there were strict rules that went with it, and I obeyed them to the letter.

Never did feel the need to kill anybody.

In Texas, growing up with firearms was the norm way back then.
However, things have changed.
Why? Don't really know.
Maybe it's the medicine prescribed to these children who show these tendencies to harm themselves or others.
Maybe some parents just don't watch or care anymore.

The way I read the story. The teenager's29 year old brother a army vet said the guns were his.
