Target Grade 22LR Ammo Info...
During the 2013 ammo drought, I have seen many places sell out of bottom tier 22lr ammo at quadruple normal prices,
while only slightly more expensive premium ammo, at regular prices was left behind.
Which is smarter:
Paying .15/round for .04/round ammo,
or paying .20/round for .20/round ammo?
Before some people choke on the prices of target grade 22LR
and lump it in with the usual .03-.06 cent/round Wally World ammo,
here's a link from showing the tests results at various distances for most of the best 22lr ammo:

Believe it or not, the prices in the two previous posts are pretty close to regular pricing for those rounds:
Center X, Eley Tenex, Lapua Midas.
Lapua .22LR 40grn Match Grade Center-X 50rd Box
22LR, S, L
I know it looks crazy expensive, but don't lump this in with the gouger priced ammo.
(BTW, the Center X is now OOS.)
Check out the regular prices for these ammo's at Midway
and they are all OOS at Midway.
Lapua Center-X Ammo 22 Long Rifle 40 Grain Lead Round Nose
Lapua Midas+ Ammo 22 Long Rifle 40 Grain Lead Round Nose
Eley Tenex Ammo 22 Long Rifle 40 Grain Lead Flat Nose
I understand that many people don't need this grade of ammo, but I hope this info will help people when they choose which ammo to buy.
Good hunting.
