J & G's so called "Permanent Cart"

Been watching here for some time now but I have an issue I wanted to share with everyone here... I just tried to score one of the 1500 round lots of Centurions from J & G. I got one in my cart fairly easily but when I started trying to "check out" it was sluggish as hell. I've been trying to pre-register but long story short by the time I was able to complete my registration my cart had been set back to zero. This would not have surprised me but below is what I got in my "Welcome Email" (they obviously got my registration) from J & G... pay attention to what it says about their "Permanent Cart".. I can tell you that it's pretty much a bold face lie...

NJ laws seem screwed up anyway, I mean Ammoman sells and ships more ammo from there than you can count, and yet a Walmart can't sell ammo.
Philadelphia Walmarts stopped selling ammo a few years ago as well. I have to go to Walmarts outside of the City into Bucks County to get any ammo. Fortunately I am close to some of those because I am right on the edge of NE Philly. I have no idea why though, Dicks right next door to one of the NE Philly Walmarts sells Ammo no problem.

Buck I just complained to Target Sports about a similar issue. When you add something to your cart, you technically should "own it" and it be removed from the onhand quanity available until you check out or if you cancel then it should be put back into available quantity. I had ammo in my cart, went to check out and it says that there is no quanity available anymore. That's a flaw in their web design and I let them know about it.!

It did the same to me :/ I had one in the cart but could not check out... I called them and they said they were sold out!
 
Midway will take orders against expected shipments and they list when they expect the stock in. Some is this month. From what I can tell they are a decent outfit. My last 2 orders from them shipped with no complaints. May be worth it if u do not need it today.

Are you doing it over the phone? Seem's like they won't let you from their web page.
 
I practically live on this page and have yet to even see any before or during everyone's links. I always get out of stock. I am beginning everyone is just posting these links just to laugh at everyone that rushes to try and find some. lol

Keep trying. I have been able to get about 2k round in the past week or so. And like others have said keep refreshing the retailers page as well. Because that is how others are finding the available post that they make. And do you think they are posting before they buy? Hell no.

BTW the post I made the other night about the yellow jackets was before I made a purchase. YW. I did not think it was a good enough price.

Hey buddy, use ur phone and speed dial them, its the only way to get anything. The J&G sales person wrote down my order, because there system crashed. Two days later my card was charged. Its in the mail. However i only got 500 rds. Should have got more at the time. Hope it helps.

From what I have experienced PSA and aim surplus Have been the best for me. They have both shipped right away. Nachez not so much, I ordered from them second and I am still waiting for my shipped email.

Good luck all. To be honest I am having fun with this. It is like a game/scavenger hunt. Almost like a hobby in it self. But I always like to turn the bad into the good.

Larry at MidwayUSA is top notch, met him and his wife at the 2010 shot show. You will have no problems with Midway, bin doing buisness there for over 6 years!! Great shipping system, Nitro Express System Larry had built. Also 24 hrs a day there always a Brown truck there!!

Just found out yesterday that all the Kmarts in TN have dropped the price on whatever ammo they still have because they are stopping stocking it and guns. Probably no luck for any 22lr, but maybe something else is in stock.

for what it's worth, i had an order from Natchez placed 2/13 and shipped 2/23. Though i did call them to check on it, and was told it showed it would ship that next day (and yes it did).
And I had about a 3 week turn time for an order from PSA in Jan so i'm sure it can and will vary with each source every day/week this goes on.....
