OFFICIAL (IN STOCK) 22LR AMMO THREAD

WALMART Crossville TN

At 11:15 last night, the Crossville (TN) Walmart changed to in stock on Winchester 555 22LR. It had been OOS since I started tracking ammo last month (3-4 times a day). My wife and I ran down to the store (20 minute drive), but were told that there was no delivery, nothing in back and they did not receive anything. We were also told that they have had problems with the app. This morning the app also showed in stock, but when I called the store, I was told that they have already sold everything that had been DELIVERED LAST NIGHT. The app just changed to out of stock. I have filed a complaint with the store manager and will be doing so with corporate after asking how the app works. Something is definitely amiss.

I have been seeing this on a lot of forums. The app DOES seem to be accurate, but it will mark items "in stock" that really are "on the truck". It seems that the delivery will arrive that day (or it already has and it's being offloaded and stacked in the back) and it will be out the next morning at 6:00am. Some stores seem to be selling it in the middle of the night off the pallet, most seem not to be doing this.

I drive by my Walmart every morning on my way to work and stop in for ammo. At least once a week I'm able to get something, but .22lr has been the slowest. 9mm, .45acp, even some .223, but .22lr? It's like they are manufacturing it, then throwing it in a fire pit. I don't get it.

Hopefully we'll have a nice active day and we'll be able to get some more! I have a few coworkers that are real hard up for some.

Is it my imagination or is the shortage getting worse rather than better ?

That's a fine question, but it really isn't on topic with this thread. What we are trying to accomplish here is to locate (links would be great) In Stock .22LR.

For those who wish to commiserate with others about the price of ammo, discuss hoarders and gougers, general market conditions or Walmart episodes... we've got just the place for it-- The Lounge.

Here's several threads that cover these topics.

Just bought 2100 rounds this morning at Wal-Mart (2 Win. M-22 1000 rd packs, and 1 Win. 100 rd Superspeed). Every store stocks at different times. The store I go to most, puts ammo out between 7:00am-8:00am. The app usually shows what's coming in stock around midnight or early a.m. I bought the only 2 bulk packs at around 7:30am. It was still showing in stock on the app up until 9:30am. So there is a delay. Hope this helps.

I know I'm fairly new here but I have been reading this thread for awhile now. I've read most of the posts from mods. I believe a part of the reason the thread was closed was because of all the "not on topic" chit chat. That included the stories of your walmart experiences. Sure enough they open the thread up again and we get 2 posts with links to ammo then right back to the Walmart talk. Not even helpful info....just stories about scoring or not scoring. Please go to the very first page and first post and read again and the many many posts in between by mods. This thread has helped so many ppl get ammo (including myself). Please don't get it closed for good.

P.S. I know this comment is also not helpful as far as giving info on ammo but I do think it's helpful in letting new ppl know they are policing this thread tightly and they shouldn't ruin it for folks that have been hanging out here for months. Thanks.

Lots of criticism about banter...

Why not just post one link to where most of the links are originating from: GunBot find 22lr ammo in stock

I would even go so far as to say there is no point in posting a link unless it's not from gunbot.

I have posted a number of links that GunBot never picked up, as have other members.
