Can anyone please post their yesterdays Cabela's order number. I had one backordered from 04/10. I called them this morning and they say that I have to prove to them that it was available yesterday for them to take some action on my backordered ammo. So if anyone would please post or pm me their order number that will help. Thank you.
 
I don't really care. If they are not legit and charge my care, it will be killed and removed. Simple as that. They don't have my social security number. They have a name and address which you can get a million on line and a card that I can have killed the second I see activity that is not mine.
Fraudulent activity is why I have and use a CC in the first place.

Having been in law enforcement for 30 years, I've heard this many times from victims. Nobody ever does anything thinking they're being scammed or will be a victim - bad things only happen to other people. I wish you luck, though! :rolleyes:

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is I only order ammo from companies I know especially over the internet.
 
Don't order from companies you know nothing about. This ain't food or other necessity.

Settle down and use some common sense. I've been a victim of ID theft before and they didn't get my Social S# to do it.


It seems people are just becoming desperate enough to take this risk. I've followed this thread for a month and the only luck I've had
Is one box of 225 golden bullets because I know someone at walmart who called when it came in. I was only quick enough to get the one last box.
 
I also hope this is a ''good site''-- it appears to be. The 555 boxes are still in stock, I just ordered 3.. They also are showing 1,000 rnd. boxes of X193 scheduled to be in stock 4-17,,$479,, so I pre-ordered one of those also.

Wait, how much?

This one here don't sound right. When it's gets back ordered and some come in they would fill the back orders and the rest on go to sale.

New to the site but not the hunt. Posted the link only for the intent of helping. Murphy's is a link from slickguns and did a little checking on them. I have usaa for my bank and i am not worried as they are a dream when it comes to protection. I will be active with posts as i can but i am not affiliated with anyone, not websites, manufactures, police, gov't, or political party so you don't have to be paranoid as one put it. The mag link to DSG is also legit i can post an invoice if you would like as well as the item. Will update about my order with Murphy's as it goes

I'm in the same boat. I got one backordered on the 10th and they did not fill it yesterday, but they filled new orders.

I called and they said... "no we didn't"

I asked if I called back with an order number from yesterday if that would make any difference and they said no.

Cabelas' customer service is reliably terrible... did any of you yesterday get a confirmation saying it was "in stock"?
 
From yesterday's posts you can see that many were able to order it successfully. Cabela's customer service sucks.

Even if your bank covers it if it turns out to be fraudulent, the scammers still have your personal information and credit card info. Also, most reputable companies will not charge your card until they ship because if you cancel an order, they have to pay the processing company a refund fee."

Murphy's doesn't charge till it ships. I ordered mine last night and no charge or weird hits to my account.

My apologies, wasn't intended to be a personal attack. Just lots of questions about the website couple by an individual who just joined and had only one post. Sorry if I offended.
 
Murphy's doesn't charge till it ships. I ordered mine last night and no charge or weird hits to my account.

From Murphy's website: "Payments for backordered items will be charged at time of sale unless ETA is more than 30 days from date of purchase." IMO, it's sorta confusing and I thought it meant they charge your card when you purchase unless the ETA is greater than 30 days.

I ordered, but got a backorder email. So I called them to cancel the order. The person I spoke to said they were in stock, but only for a short time. I don't understand how they can tell someone they need an order number as proof they were in stock. They should be able to look at their screen and see that it was in stock and sold out. I've never had trouble with Cabelas, but I'd be pretty upset if I was told I had to "prove" to them that something I had on backorder had come in but my backorder wasn't filled before they sold out.
 
Called them again. This give me the same ****. Can someone post their order number so that I can argue with them.
