So after a couple of months of debating between the glock 21 and the m&p .45 i finally bought the m&p. Now all i have to do is wait the 10 days. I went to the range today and compared the two and i shot better with the m&p. It is my first gun and I'm sure ill be happy with it.

Congrats! I was on the fence between a Glock and an M&P too. Finally decided on the M&P because it felt so much better in my hand than the Glock did.

Welcome to the family! Give it some time and this one gun will multiply as you fall in love with the M&P's. I myself have two, 9mm compact and 9mm Shield with plans to get more. I have see guys on here who have ten or more.

You made a great choice!

What is this 10 days of waiting y'all keep talking 'bout...

<proud to be living in Georgia>

My last purchase, total time in the gun shop was less than 10 minutes!

Congrats on the new M&P! The M&P45 is absolutely my favorite pistol and one of my favorite guns I own. I liked my first one so much I picked up a 2nd M&P45 but this one has the flat dark earth colored frame.

Be sure to post some pics of your new piece and let us know when you get it home!

Living in CA we have a 10 day "cooling off" period just in case someone is angry at the time they purchase a firearm and wants to use it to hurt someone. And also they do a background check here for any violent crimes.

I know I will be happy with the gun and I'm already thinking about getting the 9mm for my gf, she was too afraid of the 45 but I'll get her used to it ;)

Congrats on the purchase! I just picked up my 9mm fs last week.

States are all over the board on waiting periods etc. Here in WA, it is a 5-10day for standard purchases. They do background NICS, etc searches, I have heard some people get approved in less than 5 days. If you have a CPL though you fill out the same paperwork and the shop calls the agency and does an over the phone approval since you already passed background with the cpl. Mine was a 4min wait after filling the paperwork out.
