OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

This app must be hit or miss around the country. Hasn't worked for me in the last 2 months. Right now in my area in 100 mile radius there are 5 walmarts and the app shows no hand gun or rifle ammo in any of them. Nothing in the last 7 days. Really? Hard to believe that nothing is available.I think walmart discontinued updating ammo stock.

Yesterday after 4 I left Oklahoma going back to Missouri ran the app and could have picked up 600 more 9's but had a car load of people and didn't want to stop.

I don't have a smart phone or anything like an app, but the ammo-can.net site is way off. I've checked our 2 local WMs a couple of times a week for the past 3 or 4 weeks and have yet to see a 22 lr, 380, or 9mm bullet.

The ammo-can site has shown that a WM in a near by town has 22 lr for the past 4 or 5 days. Thought I'd give it a shot this afternoon. Nothing. Only a couple of boxes of 30.06 and shotgun shells. The guy behind the counter said it'd been a least a month since any 22 ammo had been in stock.

You can't trust WM employees to tell the truth. Several of us have seen the ammo when employees swear up and down that they haven't gotten anything in weeks. If it's Federal Lightning you can't trust the app since many stores ere selling the cases instead of the small boxes so the counts are way off. Also, employees will stash boxes of ammo everywhere so that will cause counts to be off too.

The best way to know if ammo arrived is to see the status go from out of stock to in stock or inventory info not available.

That site has not worked right for the last few weeks.

That was actually Walmarts plan.

Employees have also figured out that if they leave a few boxes in the back, so it does not go out of stock, nobody can see when the next shipment of that brand and caliber shows up.

I am not hot and heavy on the ammo chasing like I was, but if I were, I would be calling a few stores in my area to task for what I have seen happen the last month or so.

I made my last trip to WM for ammo this afternoon. I normally go every couple of months or so for other things and I just check then. I've been able to find enough affordable 9mm and 380 auto to keep me going awhile. Just not shoot as much.

I'm on a coupe of "notify me" lists for 22 lr. I'll just wait to be notified.

The site doesn't work, but the app seems to.

I have not used the site for months...I am talking about the "inventory stock not available" that walmart switched to awhile back.

If they hold a box or two of whatever caliber in the back it will show that and not go out of stock, and you cant see it show up anymore.

The popular 9mm and 22lr are stuck like that at some of the stores around me now.

If you need to get this accurate you can try calling or going to the customer service desk and ask them to verify the stock, IF you get someone cooperative they may do an inventory update or zero out what shows in stock. It sounds like someone walked with these so the inventory never showed them as purchased. One of my local stores shows the same thing.

The updated site is very slow when it works. & half the time it's been very inaccurate. I just get lucky when I go on an ammo run & always find something

Hey gang,

Just wanted to post up a quick thank you. I am new to the site and had never heard of this app/strategy prior to being here. It has been very successful for me this week. Been keeping an eye on the app and low and behold I noticed the "info not available" change at a few local stores. I was able to pick up a few boxes of 325 ct. Federal Auto Match .22 ($13.47) and 4 100 ct. boxes of Winchester WB in 9mm ($22.97). Best prices I have paid in a loooooong time.

Thanks again.

The 325 packs of Federal Auto Match are showing up as $19.97 in my app. Does your app show the prices per location?

I believe it does. It only shows price when I use the "store price and availability" tab. All the stores in my area (Frisco, Tx.) show $13.47.

It is the Android app if that makes a difference.

Yeah mine is the Android app too and all the stores by me are showing $19.97. What a bummer, my stores are all greedy.

My Walmart raised most of their prices today. Most went up more than a dollar a box. Some even more.

A few days ago Federal Automatch 22LR went from $13.xx to $19.97 here in Denver. I couldn't believe it.
