OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

I wish i could get a straight answer out of walmart, they have had ammo at various times when i go by there store guys in sporting goods say there are allowed to sale it between 7 and 9 am so i went back at 630 am this morning and it was all gone management says its policy to stock overnight and sale as soon as it hits the shelves, then call back and get another management team member and they say they have no idea who is telling people this 7 am BS but yet there was 10 ppl there this morning that were all told the 7am BS. I wish there was somewhere else to buy this stuff

called walamrt customer service corporate office and filled a complaint about my local store supposedly the offical store manager will contact me within 24 hours to address my concerns

I did a search on the app just now and found some .22s that showed in stock at a Walmart roughly an hour from the house.

Spoke to CSR in sporting goods and was informed that they didn't have anything in stock. I ended up questioned that since the app said that they were in stock. He looked up the Walmart product number for me and sure enough said it showed he had 10 boxes. He asked if he could put me on hold...After waiting for about 10 minutes another CSR picked up the line and said that they didn't have any.

After checking the website again, I found Winchester 333 at same Walmart. Instead of speaking to sporting goods went straight to customer service. Explained the situation to what seemed like a punk kid on the phone.

I was told (which seems weird) that the department managers have to update the stocking info and it may not always be a live data feed.

I find that hard to believe as I watched a show one time that detailed Walmart's inventory central HQ and they knew what and how many of an item was in a store at any given time.

So I contacted Walmart.com asking them if how quick the in stock status were updated...I'll forward any response to you guys.

I have about given up locally to find ammo and had better luck the last few weeks competing for the below .10/rd online.

I actually went in search of 9mm that was listed as limited stock. Didn't find the 9mm but did get 45 and there was tons of 40

It comes down to this. They either don't know, don't wanna look, lying so they can let friends get it, or just lazy. I do know that EVERY time we had the "we don't have " / "yes you do" argument I've been right. It's just hell sometimes getting them to go look. Also, the way I knew how many boxes is because I know the manager at the local Walmart and had him look it up by item number. He also could pull up the list of what any Walmart was getting on the truck. With that info I drove a little farther to hit a store with bigger boxes and more supply. Bettering my chances of getting something. Good luck to all of u. I just started using the app and went from out of ammo to a few thousand rounds.

I've been watching 9mm at another local Walmart. They've gone from out of stock - in stock - limited stock - in stock. Tomorrow morning I'm going to hit them up. Maybe I'm not being pushy enough (don't want to come off being an a**) but if the system says its there it's gotta be, I would think.

Was at Walmart tonite cruised by the sporting goods and they had just brought out the Winchester 100 rd boxes of 9mm that they don't have listed on the website. I only bought one box as I have plenty of 9mn like a dummy I could have bought 2 more and traded for 22lr! I wonder if there is other ammo that they carry but don't list on website or all?

I forget where I heard it but it is my understanding that the Walmart website only gets updates from the stores once a day - probably at midnight store time - which means that between a product being tagged as "in store" - and being put on the shelf - and being sold - and being updated in the system as having been sold - the website could be as much as 24 hours out of sync with reality.

That said it would be nice if there was some way to know at least approximately when your local store generally receives their ammo deliveries (if there is a set time, and I suspect there is, since cross shipping is one of the reasons Walmart exists as it does today, so unless they are not getting product from the vendor it should be hitting the stores) and approximately how long it takes to get from the receiving dock to the floor.

More bothersome perhaps is one of the Walmart locations near me is showing several items in stock but the gal there said they have not stocked ammo for some time and based on all the knives and other stuff in what must have been the ammo case in the past I can believe it.

If anyone can get 124 or 147gr 9mm fmj for around $0.25/rd from their local walmarts (since the ones in NY are all sold out) id happily pay a small fee for you're time.

I'm looking to accumulate 500 rounds.

Pm me if you can / are willing to help

Walmart iPhone app

I checked just after midnight this morning before bed and saw the Winchester Super Speed .22lr was in stock at my Walmart. Was 5th in line at 7am. Just left with three hundred rounds for $22. The app has worked flawlessly for me twice now. Just have to get there early!

Note: walmart's stock seems to run the same from what I can tell, which means if yours doesn't have it now its probably on the truck.

I don't think this is the case. It may vary from store to store, but in my case yesterday the app and website showed Federal 9mm FMJ in stock. I called and the very nice lady (which was a surprise) in Sporting Goods told me yes, they had 6. Two vultures overheard and bought 5, but I was able to score one box of 50.

Checking the app and website about an hour later showed they were out, so I do believe it is updated off of their Point of Sale Systems.

My closest local WM still seems to be a pain as they will show some items in stock and say they don't have it and I get the same run-around from a manager others have.

Oh well, when you have what people want you can act how you want. You're just the one who has to live with yourself.

I will say that some of the "associates" have been rather helpful and friendly and did actually take down my information since they have seen me so often checking. There's a list of about 10 of us and when it comes in they call, then it's a mad dash to beat the others in.

Haven't had any luck with any of my walmarts. One store shows in stock so I called and they transferred me to the guy in sporting goods. He ran the sku and told me its showing 38 boxes of the federal 525 but says he knows their not in the store. I don't get it!

Walmart

Was able to pick up

3 boxes of 50 rounds of .40 SW 13.47 a box
9 boxes of 20 7.62x39 5.07 box

Thanks to the app and a Friend

Showed they had Winchester 100 rnd pk of .22LR but after 30 minutes of watching the co-manager dig through pallets I left they may find it and I might miss it but oh well

scored some 45 for a friend today.

The lady that sold it to us said she found it setting in a box behind the counter and evidently someone forgot to put it on the shelf lol.
