OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

WalMart App

Is there any way to check more than one particular brand/package at a time?

Where do you find the info about what's coming in on the truck?
I only see in-stock or out-of-stock info...

I have the Android app.
Thanks for any help!

Scored this evening at my local WM.

450 rounds of 9mm! :D

I have the Iphone WM app. It only shows in stock or out of stock. I saw .22lr in stock at 4 of my local WM's. So I stop by the closest one on my way home from work. None on the shelf, and employee says they dont have any. I say your website says you do. He says sorry...Ok so like ***? I call another store that says its in stock, and same thing. Ok, maybe I have to play the "what time do they bring it out?" game. Call another store closest to my house, polite woman suggest that I come in around 9PM-930PM and wait for ammo to come out and be stocked, since it is not a 24hr store, and it would be stocked late so it could be ready for opening at 7AM next day. I came in and same thing, no ammo. Employee says no ammo. I have him scan the tag on the shelf, and it says 40 IN STOCK!!!. He calls mgr. and mgr. on phone cant explain why it says 40 in stock. ***!!!??? So, I will be going back in morning at 7AM tomorrow to see what happens. I cant take much more of this...

My 7AM update...went to same store nearest my home at 6:45 AM. I walked in at 7AM when the doors opened. Went in and only one other guy at sporting goods counter with me. We started talking and I find out he was there last night as well around 7:30PM. He was told that the new manager was not allowing any stocking of ammo at night, so he came in this morning as well. They still had no .22lr on the shelf. We had a different employee rescan the .22lr tag, and it still says 40 boxes in stock. Of course they cant find it again. We had the mgr. come out and look as well. But they had two cases of .40 under the counter by the cash register. Why they weren't putting it out I don't know. Anyway, after about 30 min. of questions they took both our names and phone numbers, apologized, and said that they would call us as soon as the .22lr shows up. I'm not holding my breath. If we took the time to come in twice and they supposedly have it, just sell it to us instead of playing games. If there's a logical excuse, I'm all ears. Both of us don't trust anything that any WM employee says. One gal said the govt. is buying it all up. Yah right, .22lr...that still doesn't explain why your scanner says there are 40, 50rd boxes of .22 lr in your store. So now what, they changed the times they put it out again? Anyone? Good luck to you all.

Here is two cases of .40 as well as other ammo that's not being put out on the shelf. ***? Sorry if pic is messed up.

I would think emails/phone calls to Corporate offices, Store Mgr., Regional Mgr. etc. are in order. Especially with photo of ammo "hidden" under the counter. Can't let them get away with this!

I dont know about other parts of the country but the most of the local gun shops in my area now have strocked shelves of ammo and its only a few bucks more then wal mart prices...

You have to ask yourself just whats the running around, and aggravation putting up with BS worth?

I am not as dead set on chasing Wal mart ammo around as I was a few weeks ago.

Totally agree! I would send that pic to the Corporate offices, THEN go back to that store, find the manager, show the pic and let them know that it has been sent to Corp. I'd be willing to bet that you'd be seeing that stuff hit the LOCKED shelves in short order. And possibly a new manager!

The app has been correct on every Walmart I've been to. I was 150 miles from home a few weeks ago and scored 300 9mm from a store that insisted they had none. I insisted they go look in the locked electronics cage and they sheepishly carted out 7 boxes of various ammo including the Fed 9mm on their return. Oh and they were not friendly at all at that point and wouldn't speak to me. But I got it. I can't usually get out to go pick it up in the mornings but its there if it says it is. Locally I've had evening staff tell me no ammo when it shows in stock but when I have been able to go its been there.

375 count CCI tactical 22lr showed up here tonight.

Just about every truck that comes in has something on it now.

Finally, checking the app multiple times daily paid off. Last night it showed my local Walmart as having Federal 9mm in stock both 100rd and 50rd boxes. So I run down there only to see empty shelves. I figured it hadn't been unloaded yet and that I would come back in the morning. Got up a little late (day off) and by the time I got there they only had about 15 boxes of the 50rd Federal. The girl said that there were guys lined up at 7AM......at least I scored my 3 boxes. So the app does work, it's just figuring out when they put the stuff on the shelves.

I got 2 boxes of Fed 50pk 9mm this morning at 8am, there was 7 or 8 left and about 8 boxes of Tula 9mm also

they had 380 100pks and 45 tula also but I don't use them (no Pistol)
plenty of Tula .223 also but I have plenty of .223 for now

I tried it for the first time today. The app said they had 100 round boxes of 9mm for $21. I went about 6:15 AM and there was another guy in line in front of me. I showed him the app while we waited. At 6:30 AM out came the ammo cart with 10 boxes of 9mm and other stuff. The first guy got 3 boxes of 9mm, I got three boxes, and the couple that showed up as I was buying bought the last 4. The app showed that it was still in stock until about 9 AM.

Wow, the app is totally useless around here, it shows 7 stores within a 15 mile radius of my house and daily shows .22lr, .9mm and value packs of .223 in stock, when I get to the Walmarts they never have any ammo, and say they haven't gotten any in. I showed the in-stock on the app to the sporting goods manager and he was was baffled because the only ammo he is getting in is .270, 30.06, and some 12 gauge shot rounds. Glad you guys are having good luck with the app, but in the North Tampa area it is useless.

Oh I bet he was baffled alright....

The app isn't useless, the employees who are keeping it off the shelves are...

Federal M193 5.56 showed up here last night and I loaded up BTW.

On the first page there was a comment about posting UPC codes to make the app easier for those that dont have old boxes. Here is the first one.
Federal 9mm champion 50 rnds. You can point the app at your screen and capture it.

If it says they have it and not on the shelves and haven't sold it today gently but firmly ask them to get a manager to check the locked electronics cage. Four times I've been successful .
Today I had to go there for shooting glasses knowing they had nothing. This is my closest WM, 3 miles away. They weren't busy so I talked up the lady in sporting goods. She told me she's trying to practice to get her CCW and only has 30 rounds. Asked when they put out ammo and she told me used to be 7:30 am but the same 4-6 guys were there every morning and bragging about how much ammo they had bought there and put back. Manager overheard this too many times from the same bunch and now puts it out random so it's the luck of the draw!

Jesus. How much/how often do you shoot?

I found 40 value packs and 357 and 38 special today. Missed all the 22. 555s and m22s and I missed the 9mm

I shoot once a week, sometimes once every other. I buy in "bulk" at walmart because I usually end up saving about $10 a box over buying it at the range. I want a decent stockpile, in case the Zombies attack. :)

Have you ever thought...just for a second...you people are the ones causing the shortage?????!!!!

Nope. I like in mass. No one cares about the 40's or 45's. Everyone wants 22's. I don't have that many 22's.

Just scored 150 rounds of federal 9mm thanks to the app. Was the second person to get some. Makes up for waiting an hour yesterday to get nothing

Ask the associate to scan the bar code on the self under where the 9mm goes......it might then show up as being in stock (still on the truck or back room waiting to be put out.) They might be saving it for friends....you never know.
