OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

I'm getting a little tired of hearing people whine and make accusations because others have been able to purchase ammo.

I've been busting my butt getting ammo. How much I have or have been able to acquire is really no ones business. Just because you don't shoot much 22LR, doesn't mean that others don't or that they should be chastised for building up a cashe.

What's the purpose of so much ammo you ask?

The purpose of having a large cashe of ammo is to avoid being one of those you're referring to who have none. It allows us to continue to partake in our pastime, and most importantly it's built in price protection from events like we are currently experiencing.

Because I have a large cashe, I've not been forced to buy from the secondary market at inflated prices! That's the reason for the shortage! Panicked buyers purchasing from the secondary market at hyper inflated prices! The fact that people are willing to spend as much as they are motivates the "scaplers" to buy everything they see so that they can resell it.

You have to realize that ammo will never be any less expensive than it is right now. It doesn't go bad, and it doesn't lose it's value. That's why I continue to add to my cashe.

For these reasons, I will continue to bust my butt, check my app, use Gunbot, use the in stock 22LR thread, get up early, wait in line, etc... Whatever it takes to ensure that I, my family, nor my friends will have to fall victim to the market fluctuations like this in the future.

LMAO how old are you dez?

The app has been working well in central Iowa since January for me....

Local Walmarts stocked heavy with 45 acp last week.

If I don't snag some Win 555 or M22 pretty soon so I can stop going for a while, I'm gonna have to open my open Federal 9mm Store LOL

There is over 14,000 rounds of 22 in the above picture. That would take a person years to shoot.

One, you have no idea how many people are in his family shooting from that stock pile. I have 3 in my family that shoot .22 regularly.

My wife and I go through a 500+ brick a weekend. If the kids go, then it's even more.

500 rounds x 52 weeks = 26,000 rounds a year.

Do you have a job or is finding ammo your job? Not many places let people sit around all day watching gunbot

Sorry for the delay in responding. I'm traveling to California at the moment and I haven't had the time to get on line since I left.

My wife and I run a private vocational rehabilitation company focused on veterans and high school students with disabilities.

I have my IPad and smart phone with me pretty much 24-7.

I guess it allows me more flexibility than some. But to be honest, I've only used GB once for 22LR when I got lucky on PSA. I've had much better luck on GB scoring mags.

Most of my ammo scores have come from using the Wal Mart app.

walmart site is acting up. it has since showed back in stock in last few minutes. last few days have not been able to check other stores stock from app but that seems to be some what working. good luck to all.

My local store had 9mm 40 and 45 well into the afternoon. They stock at 7am. I got the last 3 100 round boxes at 8:15 so its lasting a little longer on the shelf and thats encouraging. Had a talk with the guy who works days in sporting goods. He said pick a item, I said why, he said just pick something out of stock, I picked the 555 Winchester Bulk pack. He scanned it and said look at this showing me the handheld. Shows the store is out of stock, zero in transit, and the warehouse has a pile of this item. He said pick another one, I picked Federal 9mm 100 round bulk. Same thing, none in stock, none in transit, but the warehouse had like 200 boxes. He said it all like this, what do you think that means? I said I dunno, they are holding back. He said maybe, but why would they? We both scratched our heads. I have noticed the in demand stuff, 22LR and 9MM, as well as 5.56/223 are beginning to appear more frequently, maybe the end to the drought is in sight?

Hmm, probably holding back for a price increase...:(

Or the App wasn't built for the traffic it's getting and is in free fall?

Unlikely my app just scored me 9mm. Instantly changed to limited stock and showed 223 and 243 as limited which it was. The app works

Well, the problem in East TN is the hired help (with the sole exception of the Clinton store) simply refuse to check stock. Here's how it goes:

1) App says store has ammo.
2) I go to store and ask for ammo app says is in stock
3) Hired help says the website's wrong and they put everything out they get at 7am and it's gone in 15 minutes.
4) I ask them to check stock.
5) They refuse by stating again that they put out everything they get at 7am.
6) I ask for a manager who says the same thing.

I honestly think they don't understand they are enabling hoarders and scalpers. I have been shooting since the early 1980s and have never had more than 500-odd rounds of 22 on hand. Until now. I have @1300 or so and unless I find some 50 or 100 boxed Winchester Super-X probably won't buy another round til I find some. Never shoot more than 150 or so at a time, so thousands of rounds of ammo is an extravagance I simply cannot afford or justify.

The app, at least in East Tennessee, is a waste of time as the stores will only sell it at 7am and for me that means using annual leave unless the Oak Ridge store gets some in and I have seen Winchester 555s once in the month I have been tracking.

End of rant.

I've forced them 3 times to get the store manager to check the locked electronics area. I've gotten 600 rounds of 9 on two occasions and two cases of m22 another time. But there is this one store that absolutely refuses to listen to me. Ask them to scan bar code in the shelf where product goes and they refuse and are PO'd at me. So they are not all consistent.

It worked again for me today. They showed 9mm 100 round boxes, .223 100 round boxes, and .22 1000 round boxes. I headed over after church and they still had 9mm and .223. I got them. The .22 was limited supply and must have sold instantly. It said sold out before church ended. They had a big pile of 9mm when I left the store at noon.
