Oil or Wax?

I use johnson's paste floor wax on all of my guns and they are all shooters, makes them look really nice and powder residue or dirt just wipes right off. Plus if it starts misting rain while I am shooting I don't really worry about the guns water beads up and rolls right off. Since I started using the wax I haven't looked back, I will never go back to oiling again, the biggest plus is not getting oil all over your hands every time you handle the gun.

Another Eezox fan here. It dries to the touch, no fingerprints. It's corrosion resistance is unmatched. If you haven't read these:

Of course, I have no safe queens. My guns get handled, get shot, get cleaned and put away.

If I had some that were never shot and infrequently handled, I might give wax a try.

Of course, anything I own that isn't carried, shot, handled frequently gets sold or traded for something that gets more use...

Just wanted to let y'all know, I ordered a small can of Ren Wax. It arrived a few days ago and I've used it on my Smiths with great results! Naturally, the later models, with the deep gloss bluing, showed the best inprovement. My 15-4 looks wet! And for those who said a little goes a long way, you were right on! I got the small 2 oz can, and I'm sure it will last a long time! I just put a tiny bit on the end of my finger and it really went on nice. I'm also using it on some of my antiques and collectibles with great results! I'll post a pic here later. Just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am, and give a thank you for the recommendation! This place, and the members here, are THE best!

I second the Renaissance Wax too.
Grease and oil are for moving surfaces. I prefer grease for as much as possible.
