That rig was shown in the movie 'Boondock Saints' It is the father of the two main characters. He is shown making it in an upholstery shop before his sons were born. It is a vest with 6 holsters sewn into it.

Me too brother. Patch? I don't need no steenkeen patch. I know I look like an easy target. 72 years old and I look like it. 5'5" and 155 lbs. I walk around like "oh please don't hurt me Mr. bad guy!". Someone might look at me and think,"Easy Pickin's". No bigger than a pop corn fart and too old to fight.
But if anyone makes that mistake, Unless there are more than fifteen of them it will be the worst and the last mistake they make on this planet. R, W, and A!

thanks for the picture. i needed a good laugh and a smile to myself. can't really tell how many mags. he has, where's his lighter to light the stogie? have a good one.
Some of it is attitude. I often walk through a park that is our version of Needle Park. I just look like another gomer, but maybe standing up straighter. Any homies eyeball me, I just grin at 'em. It's also a good bet I have a 3" model 13 in each pocket.
The first clue for a young punk should be that the old man has managed to get old....

Life taught me to have a plan, have a back up plan be ready and willing to modify the plan. My plans start with a 3" 325 or a 3" 369. Keep wallet in left front pocket, bad toss of the wallet.
Better watch the right hand, not watch and try to catch the wallet.

I had a young Petty Officer who on a very strenuous and trying FEX ( SEABEE field exercise) remind me that I was an old man, I instructed him in two lessons: 1) youth is not an accomplishment, and 2) you don't jack with a Master Chief. He later earned a commission and at his commissioning before an audience of NAVY LEAGUE retired Captains and Admirals, paid me the greatest compliments of my career. Turned out to be a really fine officer.

Mustangs or guys who started out as enlisted usually make great officers from my view. Any officer or enlisted who does not respect the senior NCOs isn't very smart and isn't going to go far. They are the ones who make it happen and usually know "where the bodies are buried". Most are also very well connected and have several high ranking officers ear and respect.
When I was a Marine I started giving a master Sargent who had lost his base driving privileges a ride to work everyday. Best thing I ever did. He taught me a lot about the Corps and life and kept me very well informed. One of several "godfathers" I had that made my life better.
But, now to me senior NCOs are not old guys. Few are over 50.

My good friend, the late Gordie Tottle, was fond of telling me, "You know, Jim, now it takes me all night just to do what I used to do all night."
My workplace has developed an "active shooter" training program, telling us what to do if and when some armed wacko walks through the front door. The mantra of this training, repeated over and over again, is "run--hide--fight", those being what you should do in order of preference.
I've told my co-workers that I'm too old to run and too fat to hide, so that pretty much leaves me one option...
