older I get the smaller the gun gets

Over the last 20 years or so my carry gun has shrunk from full-size .45's (P220, various 1911's) to a basic Model 36, and on occasion a Model 360sc, both loaded with standard-pressure defense loads.

At some point I decided my physical (dis)abilities had permanently moved me past engaging in tactical gunfights à la Bruce Willis or Steven Seagal in their prime; shooting some unsuspecting bad guy in the chest a few times at close to medium distance was about all I might reasonably accomplish.

So I changed my personal defense doctrine and armed accordingly. What's left of my life isn't worth the hassle of carrying a gun bigger than my J-frames ;)

I'm told I don't look my age........my EDC has been a 3913 for the past 32 years or a 3" 66 for 34 years!

I started out with a 2 1/2" Model 19 and a Colt Commander...... mid-80s it was a PPK as my "suit gun"............... then the 3913. Family trait Dad only had three guns during his 39 years as a police officer and kept the same in 28 years of retirement.
