Hey everyone, first post. I'm looking into geting another .45 cal. I currently have a G30 but, thinking about staying away from Glock since I feel Glock perfection is a thing of the past. Just my opinion I still like my G30. Anyway, I have been researching the M&P 45c which brings up a question or two. Everything I have read is positive but come on there has got to be some negatives. For example is there any before or after manufacturer date to stay away from or any known problems or problems that have been corrected already. Also how long has the M&P 45c series been out? One more, I understand that S&W have a life time warrenty so, does that mean that they will pay shipping on gun for warrenty work no matter how old? Any information or opinions are appreciated. Thanks

I can't help with all of your questions, but I'll address what I know. I have a M&P 45 full size, that has been great. Accurate, reliable, ergonomic, decent trigger (factory). I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Capacity wise is a few rounds shy of the Glock, the full size is 10+1, and the compact is 8+1.

S&W warranty, the one time I needed it, was great. I called, explained the problem I was having (with a pistol that I had bought used, no less), and they paid shipping both ways, and fixed it, no questions asked. Total turn around time was about 2 weeks.

dont think your going to find any anti -M&P issues. i have heard of zero. whereas my glock 36 has had multiple FTF's and FTE's haha

the only negative is that they will not give it to you for free.....LOL! It is a great gun and I have at least 700 rounds thru it and not one hiccup. I did buy the full size mags. (10 rnds) and the sleeves to fit it for the range. I carry this gun a lot and do shoot it regularly. Can't say enough good about it.
