any of you use a grip while you conceal carry your Shield? Or does it make it too bulky to un-holster? If so what grip do you use? I was looking and thinking about possibly getting a Pachmyer grip for my shield but it is my everyday carry gun and not sure if I want to put a grip on it while I carry.

I have a Pachmyer grip on my 40 Shield & I like it fine. Definitely makes the pistol easier to grip , but I haven't noticed any problems with increased bulk. I'm still able to pocket carry in a Desantis pocket holster. Some people here have said they had a problem with the grip slipping, but I haven't.

Yesterday after holding/shooting a friends Pachmayr grip on his shield I ordered one..With the P grip the Shields grip fills out my hand better plus I had more control when I fired the Shield...

I've tried the pachmayr and the hogue grips. My wedding ring ripped the pachmayr on the first range trip.I'm a south paw. The hogue has held up for about 6 months now. the texture and quality of the pachmayr just feels cheap when compared to the hogue. I bought another pachmayr after the first one ripped just in case it was defective. Used both side by side on a hot day at the range so my hands were nice and sweaty. The hogue was hands down the winner. The pachmayr was very slick and ripped again after about 100rds. For what they cost, buy both and decide for yourself.

Here's the Pachmyer on my Shield. Will try it this weekend and see how it works. If it does rip, I'll get the Hogue and try it. Which Hogue model number did you get?

Piece of bicycle inner tube cut to fit on all my poly frame pistols. Adds a nice tacky rubbery grip without adding bulk. The price is right too.

Really depends on what you want. If you want to add size and girth to the grip, go with Pachmayr or Hogue. If you want to maintain the size, but want a non-slip grip, go with Talon.

Not sure exactly which one.It wasn't necessary but I did trim it a little. After hearing all these good things about talon grips,Im gonna have to try them out too.

Talon Grips here...rubbery ones. Not a problem whatsoever to holster or unholster. I highly recommend them!

Talon Rubber Grip gets my vote as well. The Talon's are thin and have a very useful texture. The granular version is way too course, the surface sticks to everything, not suitable for a carry pistol.

I first purchased a Pachmayr grip sleeve for my Shield, but I didn't like it because it had a tendency to slide down when inserting a magazine, so I put it on my Kahr CW9 and it works better on that gun. I then purchased TractionGrips for the Shield, kind of a knockoff of Talon Grips, I am very pleased with them. No peeling, much better grip feel when shooting and cheaper than Talon Grips.

Anybody got a pic of the Hogues on it? Please post.
