Does anyone remember the classic TV show "Adam 12" that ran from 11/21/1968 to 8/26/1975? What S&W sidearm did Martin Milner and Kent McCord carry?
SWAT using model 16s? I didn't know that such a rare gun was used as a prop. Also, aren't 32s a little small for SWAT?In the SWAT episode (remember, SWAT was started by LAPD about that time), they also had M16s.

Loved Dragnet, which spun off Adam 12, which I liked also.
When I was very young, I though Car 54 was hilarious.
fred Gwynn was a great actor.

Dragnet started many years before Adam 12. It didn't "spin off" from any tv show. In fact, Dragnet originated on radio as a drama series before making the jump to tv.
I had to correct you on this, otherwise, Jack Webb will rise out of his grave on Halloween and come looking for you.
Chuck Norris is afraid of Jack Webb.

You might also note that Martin Milner has a set of Fuzzy Farrant grips on his 6" Model 14 starting about the second episode.
They also used clamshell holsters later on in the series.
yep, that is what I meant. probalby a comma or so would have clarified that. Jack Webb produced Adam 12, and was in several episodes also along with Harry Morgan.Posted 13 October 2008 11:23 AM Hide Post
